where it all began
Hey there! I’m Krystal, a passionate photographer who’s had a camera in my hands since I was 12 years old—yeah, you could say I’ve been hooked from the start. What began as a hobby quickly turned into something much more, and over the years, photography has become my way of capturing the world around me. I went to film school, where I learnt the art of storytelling through motion. While I’ve since transitioned into still photography, that storytelling foundation is something I carry with me in everything I do.
In 2023, I entered my motherhood era, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. I have a beautiful wild girl named Wren, who is two years old. She’s full of energy, curiosity, and joy, and she’s taught me more about life, love, and patience than I could have ever imagined. Motherhood has truly been a transformative experience, and it’s made me see the world through new eyes.
I’m also lucky to share this journey with my partner, Scott, and our beloved fur babies. Life is a beautiful adventure with them by my side, and it’s these precious moments, big and small, that inspire me every day.
When I’m not behind the lens, you can usually find me off-roading through the stunning Victorian High Country or traveling around Australia. I’m a huge fan of camping, and my all-time favorite spot is Bunda Cliffs in South Australia—there's just something being at the edge of Australia on a steep cliff watching the waves hit land. Photography, for me, is more than just capturing a moment—it’s about preserving the essence of who we are, our relationships, and the fleeting moments that define our stories. I’m driven by the joy of looking back on growth, especially when it comes to capturing those beautiful, genuine moments of connection between families, couples, and newborns.
