Pregnancy is such a unique and beautiful journey, one that deserves to be celebrated and cherished every step of the way. It’s a time filled with anticipation, joy, and so many emotions. Whether you’re a first-time mum or adding another little one to your family, each pregnancy is special and deserves to be captured in its own way.
I remember the excitement (and the nerves!) of being pregnant. There’s something truly magical about watching your body change and knowing that a little life is growing inside of you. It’s a whirlwind of emotions, those quiet, intimate moments when you feel your baby move for the first time, the sweet connection you share with your partner as you dream about your future together, and the overwhelming love you already feel for your little one.
As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing these moments for other mums-to-be, and I can’t express enough how powerful it is to preserve these memories. It’s a time in life that goes by so quickly, but the photos we take can freeze those precious moments, so you can look back and remember how incredible this chapter of life really was.
Pregnancy is a celebration of life and growth, and I want to help you celebrate it in a way that’s authentic and meaningful. FAQ
How many weeks should I be?
The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28 and 34 weeks. This is when your bump is beautifully rounded, but you're still feeling comfortable enough to move around and pose. Of course, every pregnancy is different, so if you're feeling great earlier or later, we can adjust based on what works best for you!
Who is involved?
It's also a great opportunity to include other special people in the journey - partners, children & pets are all invited.
Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?
Absolutely! I love when clients have input on the location. Whether it’s a place that holds personal meaning.
If you’re not sure where to go, I have a list of some beautiful spots based on your style and vision for the shoot. The goal is to make sure the location reflects the mood and vibe you want for your maternity photos!
How long is the session?
My typical maternity session usually lasts up to 1 hour, depending on the location and the number of people involved. This gives us enough time to capture a variety of shots, from close-ups of the bump to beautiful family portraits, without feeling rushed.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
Typically, you can expect to receive 10 sneak peek images in the next 48 hours. Expect the remainder of the full edited gallery within 3-4 weeks after the session. This gives me time to carefully select and edit each image, ensuring they’re polished and perfect.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, no worries! I always have a backup plan. For outdoor sessions, we can either reschedule to a day with better weather or switch to an indoor location—whether that’s in the comfort of your home or at a studio. The goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed, regardless of what’s going on outside.
I keep a close eye on the forecast and will reach out ahead of time to discuss options and make sure we’re all set.
