Tucked away in the Victorian countryside, just outside the Yarra Valley, my private photography studio in Buxton offers a warm, relaxed space for capturing the little moments and connections that matter most.
Designed with simplicity, soft natural light and earthy, neutral tones in mind, the studio is a place to slow down, settle in and enjoy the experience without feeling like you need to be anything other than yourselves.
Whether you're welcoming a new little person into your family or documenting this special chapter of life, my approach is always the same: natural, heartfelt imagery that feels like you.
A space to slow down and settle in
I wanted to create a space that felt less like a traditional photography studio and more like a little home away from home.
With a considered, minimal aesthetic, soft textures and a relaxed atmosphere, the studio allows the focus to remain on what matters most, your family, your connection and the little details that make this season of life yours.
There are no elaborate sets or overly styled backdrops. Instead, the space is kept simple and timeless, allowing the people in front of my camera to be the heart of every image.
My approach is gently guided rather than heavily posed. I'll offer direction when you need it, but there's plenty of room for cuddles, little interactions and the in-between moments that often become your favourites.
Because the studio is set on our property, there’s a gentle country feel woven into the experience. After your session (or if older siblings need a little reset), there’s the joy of saying hello to our friendly sheep and chickens, which often brings smiles and a sense of calm to the day. Buxton itself is quiet and peaceful, perfect for those early postpartum days and if you feel up to it, the nearby town of Marysville makes a lovely stop afterwards for a warm meal or good coffee before heading home.

Babies need feeding, cuddling and settling, and that's all part of the experience. We'll work around your little one and allow the session to find its own rhythm.
